HW1 Checklist
To get homework one checked off, submit your homework using the turnin script and have the tutor verify the following:
Correctness:
- Run the hw1checkoff script (~/../public/hw1/java/hw1checkoff). If the output shows no differences, your program has correct output.
Documentation:
- File header is present and accurate.
- All method headers are complete.
- Each local variable declaration is commented, comments are aligned on the same line as the declaration.
- Inline comments are present in each method to decribe/justify each idea (every group of two or three lines).
- A blank line separates ideas within method.
- Inline comments are aligned with code.
Style:
- Open and close curly braces are aligned consistently.
- No lines exceed 80 characters.
- All variable names are longer than a single letter.
- All variable names are descriptive of their role in the code.
- All variable names having the same role in multiple methods have the same name.
- Each code block is consistently indented using more than 2 spaces.
- No magic numbers are used.
Turnin:
Refer to the Turnin Procedure.
Extra credit award is based upon the turnin time:
- 7.5% for 3 days before original due date.
- 5% for 2 days before original due date.
- 2.5% for 1 day before original due date.
